Circuit Training (exercises in self-doubt), 2018.
Live Performance, 20 mins.‘Circuit Training (exercises in self-doubt)’, is a live choreographic work focusing on fragmentation of the body. The body as material and the body as apparatus: each choreographic segment of the performance explores this fragmentation in exercise-style sequences: #1 elbow joint, #2 knee lever, #3 hip- bone, #4 jawline, #5 shoulder socket.
The two performers move in Pas de Deux (“Dance of Two”) — a term borrowed from ballet, where the female dancer is often supported by a male partner for lifts, turns, and balancing steps — creating an illusion of stillness.
Featured in Vogue Ukraine Art Issue, 2019. Longlisted for the Aesthetica Art Prize, 2019.
